Logo design cost in Morocco: how much to pay, which files and which rights to ask for
A logo delivered as a single JPG won't serve you for long. Here are the files, variants and rights to ask for before you pay.

Key takeaway
A logo is only usable if you receive its vector files (AI, SVG, PDF or EPS), its colour, black-and-white and negative versions, and its colour codes. Also ask, in writing in the quote or contract, for the usage rights to be transferred to you. In Morocco, prices checked in October 2026 run from 50 DH on classifieds to over 15 000 DH at a branding agency.
Many businesses discover the problem the day the printer, the sign maker or the web developer asks for "a vector file of the logo". All they have is a blurry image sent over WhatsApp, and the designer no longer answers. The cost of a logo design in Morocco depends less on the drawing than on what comes with it: files, variants, rights. The prices below show it, and the rest of this guide tells you what to write in the quote so the logo is really yours.
Logo or brand identity: what's the difference?
The logo is the sign that identifies you: a symbol, a drawn name, or both. The brand identity is the system around it: colours, typefaces, usage rules, and its applications (business card, letterhead, social media, shop sign). A logo alone is enough to start. An identity stops every provider from reinventing your colours their own way.
Logo design cost in Morocco by type of provider
A logo costs from 50 DH to over 15 000 DH in Morocco, depending on who draws it and what is delivered. Here are public prices checked in October 2026.
| Source | Offer | Price | What is stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Avito | Logo listings | 50 to 300 DH | Content not stated |
| Conceptions.ma | SME logo | 890 DH | 3 proposals, 2 revisions, .AI and .SVG sources, 5 to 7 days |
| Conceptions.ma | Full identity (30-page guidelines) | 2 890 to 4 500 DH | Brand guidelines included |
| German C.P.O.C | Three packages | from 1 500 / 3 500 / 6 000 DH | 3 to 6 concepts; vector files from the middle package; 2 to 4 weeks |
| MedinaClick (guide) | Branding agency | 6 000 to 15 000 DH | Studio: 15 000 to 40 000 DH and more |
MedinaClick's guide sums up the risk of entry-level offers: a logo "seen everywhere, no professional files, no variants". A low price is not the problem in itself; the problem is a quote that doesn't say what is delivered. As the same guide puts it: "if everything is vague, that's a risk".
Which files should you receive?
For a logo, ask at least for:
- Vector files: AI, SVG, PDF or EPS. They scale without loss, from business card to shop sign. Without them, every print job will be blurry or need redoing.
- Transparent-background PNGs in high resolution, for your documents and the web.
- Variants: colour, black, white (negative on dark backgrounds), a horizontal version and a square or symbol-only version.
- Screen formats: social media profile picture and website icon (favicon).
- Colour codes: HEX for screens, CMYK for print, and if possible a Pantone reference.
- The names of the typefaces used, and their licence: some are free, others paid for commercial use.
For a brand identity, add brand guidelines as a PDF: clear space around the logo, minimum size, forbidden uses, colours, typefaces and application examples. That document lets your printer, developer or community manager stay consistent without calling you.
The simple test
Before paying the balance, open the SVG or PDF file and zoom in hard. If the edges stay sharp, it's vector. If they turn pixelated, it's only an image, whatever the file extension says.
Who owns the rights to the logo?
Paying for a logo doesn't always mean holding its rights. The designer is the author of the drawing; for you to use it freely (sign, packaging, advertising, website), the rights have to be transferred to you in writing. MedinaClick's guide recommends stating the rights in the quote.
Ask for the quote or contract to state:
- that usage and modification rights are transferred to you once payment is made;
- for which uses (all media, print and digital);
- for what duration and which territory;
- that the logo is an original creation, not a template bought or resold to others.
That last point matters: a logo taken from a template bank can turn up at a competitor's. Have these clauses checked by your legal adviser if a lot rides on your brand.
Should you register your logo as a trademark?
Creating the logo and protecting the brand are two separate steps. In Morocco, trademarks are filed with OMPIC (the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office), online through DirectOMPIC. According to the Morocco IP sheet from INPI (July 2025), an online filing costs 1 200 DH for one class if you are an SME or a micro-business, 1 800 DH for other applicants, then 240 DH per extra class for an SME or micro-business, 360 DH for others. Protection lasts 10 years and can be renewed indefinitely.
A class is a category of goods or services: the trademark is only protected in the classes you file. These amounts are indicative, and an applicant with no home or registered office in Morocco must go through a representative. Check that the name is available before ordering signs and packaging, so you don't have to redo everything.
And at BrightIntent, what do you get?
Our indicative prices: a logo (2 to 3 weeks) from 1 100 DH excl. VAT, a brand identity with guidelines (3 to 5 weeks) from 6 000 DH excl. VAT, and a complete brand platform (5 to 8 weeks) from 11 300 DH excl. VAT (launch price until January 31, 2027). Print materials cost an extra 1 500 to 4 000 DH excl. VAT.
In every package you receive the source files and variants listed above, and the transfer of rights is written into the quote. Details are on the logo and brand identity design in Morocco page. Frequently asked questions
Is a JPG logo enough?
For a profile picture, yes. For a shop sign, a vehicle, packaging or a website that stays sharp on every screen, no: you need the vector file (AI, SVG, PDF or EPS).
How many proposals and revisions are normal?
The offers we found range from 3 to 6 concepts, with a number of revisions fixed in advance (for example 2 at Conceptions.ma). What matters is that this number is written in the quote.
My former provider won't send me the files. What can I do?
Ask for them in writing, referring to what your quote or contract says. If nothing was agreed, it is harder: that is why the list of files and the transfer of rights should be written down before work starts.
Is the logo protected as soon as it is created?
As a creative work, yes: copyright arises from the creation itself (Law No. 2-00) and belongs to its author, which is why a written transfer matters. As a trademark, no: you need an OMPIC filing, best done before you invest in signs and printing.
How much does it cost to register a logo in Morocco?
For an SME or micro-business, an online OMPIC filing costs 1 200 DH for one class, then 240 DH per extra class; for other applicants, 1 800 DH and 360 DH (INPI Morocco sheet, July 2025). An adviser's fees, if you use one, come on top.
Can I create a logo for free?
Yes, with template-based online tools, and that is enough to test a business idea. The risk is ending up with a logo close to other companies' logos, with no vector file and no exclusive rights. Yet a trademark must be distinctive and available to be registered (INPI).
What are the different types of logo?
Usually three: the wordmark (the name written in its own lettering), the symbol alone (an icon), and the two combined. A symbol alone stays readable at small sizes, for example as a profile picture; a short name makes a good wordmark, while a long name benefits from a symbol for small formats.
