Key takeaway

In Morocco, social media management is advertised from 1 800 DH to 40 000 DH excl. VAT a month, depending on the provider (prices checked in October 2026). The gap comes from the number of posts, videos, platforms and moderation. The ad budget is never included: it is paid separately, directly to the platforms.

Your customers are on their phones: according to the 2026 Sunergia barometer, 86% of Moroccans use at least one social network (Hespress). Handing your accounts to someone is a real decision. The cost of social media management in Morocco ranges from 1 800 to 40 000 DH a month: here is where those gaps come from, and what to demand in writing.

Public packages start at 1 800 DH a month for 8 posts, and market ranges go up to 40 000 DH excl. VAT a month for a full agency. Here are prices checked in October 2026.

Work out what each offer actually produces. Eight posts a month is two a week; seven a week is almost one a day. The price per post, and above all what goes into it (a photo you supply, or a video shot at your premises), changes everything.

Freelancer, agency or employee: what does a community manager cost?

The table gives the ranges for freelancers and agencies. The third option is to hire: according to HRMCO, a salaried community manager is paid 5 000 to 7 500 DH gross a month at the start of their career, and 7 500 to 10 800 DH gross with 3 to 5 years of experience.

An employee works full time for you, but you have to train and supervise them, and often add a graphic designer or a videographer. A freelancer costs less than an agency, but everything rests on one person: if they fall ill or leave, your accounts stop. An agency brings these skills together, and its price reflects that. For a small business that posts two or three times a week, an outside package usually costs less than a full-time hire. And if someone on your team enjoys it, two posts a week with a simple calendar can be handled in-house at first.

Is the ad budget included?

No, almost never. HRMCO says it plainly: "the budget spent on advertising… is NOT included" (HRMCO). The package pays for the work: creation, publishing, replies, reporting. Sponsored posts are paid on top, directly to Meta or TikTok. Only C My Pub includes a small ad credit of 100 to 500 DH in its packages.

Which platforms should you be on?

Where your customers are, not everywhere. The 2026 figures give an idea of the audience in Morocco:

  • WhatsApp: used by 83% of Moroccans, it is the conversation channel (Sunergia 2026, via Hespress).
  • Facebook: used by 64% of Moroccans, with 22.8 million people reachable through ads (DataReportal).
  • Instagram: 47% of Moroccans; its ad audience grew 20.8% in a year (DataReportal).
  • TikTok: the fastest riser, from 24% to 32% of Moroccans in one year (Sunergia).

Two platforms kept well beat four left to drift. And since conversations often end up on WhatsApp, decide who answers there, and how fast.

What should you demand in writing?

A clear package answers these questions before you sign:

  • How many posts, and of what kind: posts, carousels, stories, reels.
  • Which platforms, and which come first.
  • Who makes the photos and videos: you, a stock library, or a shoot on site.
  • Who answers comments and messages, at what hours, and how fast.
  • Your approval: you see the calendar and captions before anything goes out.
  • Languages: French, Arabic, Darija, written by someone who speaks them.
  • The monthly report: what was published, what worked, what changes next month.
  • Commitment: minimum length and notice to stop.

Language matters: Darija is the mother tongue of 94% of Moroccans, and 39% use it in writing (Sunergia, via Hespress). A natural Darija caption speaks to your customers; machine translation shows.

Your accounts stay yours

The Facebook page, the Instagram account and the ad account must be created in your name, with you as admin. The agency gets access that you can remove. If it leaves, you keep your followers, your history and your access.

Doctors, lawyers: what do your rules say?

Some professions cannot promote themselves like a shop, and the agency running their accounts is bound too:

  • Doctors: the code of ethics (decree 2-21-225) asks for general, objective, verifiable information (art. 21), forbids boasting, and requires informing the regional council before creating a social media space (art. 26).
  • Lawyers: Law 66.23 (art. 45) bans all advertising and client-seeking, directly or through a third party (text on fasl.ma).
  • Everyone: Law 31-08 (art. 21) bans misleading advertising, including about promised results (text). Be careful with "before/after" posts.

For these clients we publish educational content that you approve, and we never sponsor what your rules forbid.

And at BrightIntent, how much is it?

Our indicative prices: the Essential plan (steady presence) from 2 600 DH excl. VAT a month, the Growth plan (fuller monthly support) from 4 500 DH excl. VAT a month, and the Partner plan, where we work like a member of your team, from 7 500 DH excl. VAT a month (launch price until January 31, 2027). An on-site shoot adds 2 000 to 3 500 DH excl. VAT a month, and Darija captions 800 to 1 500 DH excl. VAT a month. The ad budget stays separate.

Your accounts stay in your name, you approve before publishing, and every month you get a clear report, free of jargon. Details are on the Social media management page. For a figure that fits, build your online quote.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns my Facebook page and Instagram account?

You do, provided they are created in your name and you are an admin. Check this at the start, and give the agency access you can remove.

Only within strict limits: the medical code of ethics (decree 2-21-225) limits communication to general, verifiable information, forbids attracting patients, and requires informing the regional council before creating a social media space.
